The color yellow has been linked with
Chinese traditional
culture.
Confucius, a philosopher and educator
at the end of the Spring-Autumn
period,
defined yellow as one of
the "pure and superior colors"
which
are incorporated into the traditional values of
"benevolence,
righteousness, rites, wisdom and trust."
