Banana New Paradise
香蕉新樂園

Close to the Confucius Temple,
Banana New Paradise is
a one-of-a-kind tea house in Taichung.
Its interior contains a recreation of
a Taiwan street from the 1920s to the 1940s.
People can sit at tables
along the street or
inside a shop to
enjoy Chinese or Taiwanese food.

Miyahara Eye Hospital


宮原眼科

Miyahara Eye Hospital,
a two-story red brick building
constructed by a Japanese optometrist
Takekuma Miyahara (Gong Yuan),
was once the largest eye clinic in Taichung
during the time of the Japanese occupation.
The hospital became
Taichung Health Center in 1945
and was almost ruined after 921 earthquakes.
In 2010, a pastry business
named Dawn Cake bought the building
and renovated it into an eye-catching store
that looks like a library.
The Miyahara Eye Hospital is famous for
its pineapple cakes, cheese cakes, sun cakes,
ice-cream and chocolate.

Taichung Literature Museum

Situated in buildings that
were once police dormitories
during the Japanese colonial era,
Taichung Literature Museum
plays a role in preserving
Taichung city's literary works.

National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts
國立臺灣美術館

National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts
is dedicated to the education
and promotion of visual arts.
It places great emphasis on
collecting works by Taiwanese artists
and exploring unique characteristics of
modern and contemporary Taiwanese arts.


Its aims are:
to organize the most diverse range of
themed visual art exhibitions,
to foster long-term art exchanges
with overseas institutions,
to actively participate
in major international events,
to promote art education,
and to provide the public
with a pleasing and
multi-faceted environment
for viewing art.




The exhibition area consists of Galleries, 
the Art street, E-Transit and DigiArk. 
The first and second floors are devoted to
themed exhibitions, 
the third floor holds a permanent exhibition 
of the Museum's collection, 
and the outdoor courtyard 
showcases exquisite sculptural works.

and has 2,011 seats.
