Cherry blossoms can be found throughout the streets and alleys of Taipei. There are also several in our neighborhood.
The type of cherry tree determines its blooming season. In the courtyard below our building, there are two cherry trees that blossom every year between February and March.
The regularity with which the flowers bloom and fall is truly astonishing. From this, one learns to take gains and losses lightly and to cultivate a calm and composed outlook on life.
